Shakespeare with Heart: Inclusive Shakespeare (OST Artists)
Shakespeare With Heart is a two-week camp for middle and high school students. This inclusive camp is a collaboration between UCP of Central Florida and OST which brings students with and without special needs together to produce a Shakespeare play. The sense of empowerment and community achieved by the students involved is palpable. Adult classes have been created for the group that started as high school students seven years ago and are now in their early twenties. This roundtable discussion will explore the benefits and challenges of doing Shakespeare with an inclusive cast.
